Goodbye, Rexburg
In between receiving his call and leaving on his mission, Matthew completed a second semester at BYU-I. The family picked him up two days after his birthday in July and he said farewell to Rexburg for a couple of years.

The Call
Spring 2012
Matthew finished and submitted his missionary paperwork just before going back to Rexburg for spring semester at BYU-I. Just a few days after arriving, he texted Mom to let her know the big white envelope had arrived. Waiting for Dad and everyone else to get home was probably torture, but we wanted to have everyone present for the big reveal.
Matthew went to Uncle Josh & Aunt Shauna's home in Rexburg, with Granny & Boppy listening in from Chemainus on Josh's phone. At home, Mom, Dad, Micah, Max & Mason all gathered around the computer. McKelle had to participate by phone, as she was away at a Wa-Hi track meet. Mitchell was away at a tennis match, so we had to fill him in later. Grandpa Stott was also listening in by phone from Kennewick.
